The dynamic duet

An addition to the transmission. For the first time in an Aston Martin GT model, an automatic ZF 8-speed transmission comes twinned with an electronic limited slip rear differential. Working in harmony to thread each wheel with venom and pirouette power into place. Cutting acceleration time across the mid-range. Taking your super tourer to super racing heights.

Taming dynamism

The open-top DB12 Volante comes reinforced with five drive modes. Taking to tarmac with greater grip thanks to ESP. Pulling the road closer to your palms with tighter control. The electronic limited slip rear differential delivers torque intelligently for better handling at any speed. With the non-isolated steering column puts feedback immediately where you can feel it.

Cutting through racecar speeds

Placing the power of control in your ankle. The choice of carbon ceramic brakes makes their debut in an Aston Martin core GT model. 400mm at the front. 360mm at the rear. Cut and patterned to inject confidence and fight heat in the highest speeds. While reducing unsprung mass by 27kg to quicken the feel of control in your hands.

Exterior

An open-top model made to marvel. Sleek, beautiful and scythed with sharpness. Carved to let torque flow through its heart-stealing body. And embellished with a reimagined and redesigned finely folded roof. Taking top-down driving to super levels while adding air to the already debonair.

Folded to perfection

DB12 Volante is crowned by a K-fold roof, opening to the atmosphere in a class-leading 14 seconds. And able to close even when you’re cruising at up to 35mph. All without impacting the aesthetic of the side profile. Folded and formed to a mere 260mm stack height, giving a seamless rear profile and maximising luggage capacity. The roof canopy stands acoustically enhanced and incorporates eight layers of insulation materials for improved interior cabin comfort.

Inherited aggression

Inherited and intended to cool. DB12 Volante bares a redesigned and remoulded front bumper, fender and grille design. A honed focal point with a larger traditional ‘DB’ single-vaned grille for a 56% increase in open area to aid cooling.

Dominating the road with broader shoulders

DB12 Volante has been strengthened with a 6mm front and 22mm rear increase in track width flowing through to the body width. Bulking with broader shoulders for greater road presence and intimidating with every added inch.

A finer connection to the road

A revolution in rubber. DB12 Volante debuts the new Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyre. A harmonious creation between Aston Martin and Michelin. Wrapped in a hand spun compound for super grip to reject every drop of rain and inspire smoothness from every turn of tread. And enveloped in the new tyre are the 21-inch alloy wheels. Tailored, cut and threaded to create an assertive presence and an aggressive side profile.

A stronger stance

A constant wordmark of beauty. The side strake has featured on every DB and this super tourer is no different. Stealing glances to the wheels and forming a stronger stance are the side sills. With the front splitters cutting deeper into the ground through lift reduction.

DB12 Volante is fronted furiously by AI-generated light structures. Redesigned into a new six-block pattern and modelled to ensure a consistent and homogeneous light output. The Automatic High Beam lacerates with light for more support in the darkest of nights. As illuminating to the category as it is on the road.
